Born in Zrenjanin, Nataša Knežević earned her degree in Biology in 2007 with her thesis “Hexamerini – Taxonomic Markers of Insects” at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Novi Sad, Department of Biology and Ecology. In October 2007, she began her engagement with the National Museum in Zrenjanin as an intern. With her treatise “Museum Activity in the Function of Biodiversity Conservation” and her passing of the professional exam in November 2008, she earned her the title of Curator. Upon gaining the title, she became Curator at the NMZ and the Biologist in charge of the Botanical Collection. Since 2014, she has led the Department of Natural Sciences. Nataša Knežević is a member of the Museum Society of Serbia.
In December 2016, she acquired the title of Senior Curator with her treatise “Expansion of the Botanical Collection of the National Museum Zrenjanin – Herbarium of Medicinal Plants of Central Banat.”
