Biography
Bojana Petraš, Philologist and Librarian, graduated from the Department of General Linguistics at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade (2011). In July 2011, she began her professional career with a volunteer internship at the Special Library of the National Museum in Zrenjanin. Since January 2012, she has served at the National Museum in Zrenjanin as a Librarian. Upon passing the professional library exam at the Matica Srpska Library in Novi Sad (2013), she earned the title of Graduate Librarian. She is a member of the Section of Librarians and Librarians of the Museum Association of Serbia, IKOM, and the Library Association of Serbia. In her role at the NMZ, she works as a lecturer within the publishing activities of the Museum, manages the Collection of Old and Rare Books and the Collection of Film Posters, and organizes relevant exhibitions, workshops, and promotions. As the singular employee in the library, she independently creates and maintains a complete catalog/bibliographic record of publications, current collections, and special collections. In 2015, she represented the National Museum of Zrenjanin as one of the candidates for the European Museum of the Year 2015 (EMYA) award at the conference and award ceremony in Glasgow. In 2015, she received a stipendium for DLF (Forum Museum Cross-Pollinators) from the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, and the Digital Library Federation to participate in the DLF Forum (Digital Library Federation) in Vancouver (Canada), held in October. In 2016, she represented the National Museum of Zrenjanin at the conference and the Ziva Award for the best Slovenian museum, held at the Museum of Ancient Glass in Zadar in September. The title of senior graduate librarian was awarded to her and approved by the Expert Commission of the National Library of Serbia in January 2019. Since February 2019, she has been the President of the Section of Museum Librarians and of Librarians of the Museum Association of Serbia.

    – On November 26, 2019, in the electronic classroom of the University Library Svetozar Marković in Belgrade, an accredited seminar “Democratization of Digitalization in Libraries” was held by colleagues from the University Library – Natasa Dakić, Aleksandra Trtovac and Jelena Andonovski.
    – Preparation and organization of webinars, May 29, 2020 (via the Zoom platform). Dr. Gina de Alvis, an independent researcher in library and information activities from Singapore, spoke at the webinar on the topic of “The transformation of special libraries and their sustainability in the 21st century,” with Bojana Petraš presenting an introductory speech and instruction for participation in the research.
