On Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 7 PM, at the Salon of the National Museum of Zrenjanin, Darko Karlečik will perform a solo marimba recital titled “The Melody of the Strike – Works for Marimba by Serbian, Slavic, and Asian Composers.” The program will feature works by composers Nebojša Jovan Živković, Svetozar Nešić, Ivan Brkljačić, Keiko Abe, Heng Liu, and Tomaž Golinski. The composition “Vermillion Bird” by Chinese composer Heng Liu will be performed for the first time in Serbia at the concert on June 13 at the Zrenjanin museum. Darko Karlečik will perform the same program at his upcoming performances in Novi Sad and at the Serbian Cultural Center “Ivo Andrić” in Beijing in June. The concert in Beijing is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia.
